  • Defensive analysis of networks you own or are authorized to test
  • Personal device and network troubleshooting

You must NOT use TraceWaves for:

  • Unauthorized network access or reconnaissance

  • Circumventing captive portals without authorization
  • Tracking individuals without their knowledge or consent
  • Any activity that violates local computer fraud or network access laws (CFAA, Computer Misuse Act, etc.)

MAC Randomization

The privacy-preserving MAC address feature uses OS-level randomization to reduce passive device tracking. It is not a mechanism to evade network bans or access controls.

CVE & Vulnerability Data

All CVE and vulnerability data is advisory intelligence based on observable fingerprinting. It is not definitive proof of vulnerability. Match confidence is always displayed. You are responsible for verification before remediation.
